Our Global Business Solutions unit is responsible for serving AT&T business customers around the world and provides a full array of integrated solutions to our customers, including wire-line and wireless services, enterprise mobility applications and applications management, advanced network management, network‐based security, cloud services, digital media solutions, unified communications and collaboration, hosting, network sourcing and consulting services.
Reporting to the UK&I AVP, the Director of Sales and Business Development provides strategic sales leadership support to the UK&I Sales Centre (SC). The role has direct accountability to improve win-rate for the UK&I SC by driving sales strategy and the engagement of key resources to ensure momentum throughout the deal engagement process. The Director of Sales manages individual contributors in support of assigned account modules - assigns, coaches and develops selling resources and aids as required to close sales in a new business team environment.
Primary responsibility is to focus on large deal strategy and closure for key accounts aligned to the Account Managers. This includes the development with the account team of customer relationship and anticipating client concerns/roadblocks to closing sales and working with all our management team and partners to ensure that we can meet the customer needs whilst maintaining the integrity of AT&T's business case. The Director of Sales will work with the account team, sales management and all partners in actively pursuing strategic opportunities.
The Director of Sales and Business Development is also responsible for leading programs to accelerate new sales closure and develop strategic account planning across UK&I via AT&T Strategic Account Management method and Science of Consultative Selling methods to better understand client’s business needs and shift focus from products to value proposition and relationship.
The Director of Sales is responsible for significant business development strategy and relationship building in typically key AT&T accounts, growing revenue, accelerating opportunity closure. As part of this role, the Director of Sales is expected to be involved in the end-to-end opportunity and bid management of the designated clients.
