Performs one or more of the following functions: Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels. Installs and monitors security auditing software and remediates defects based on ATT security policies. Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.

This role may have responsibilities for Domain 2.0 deployment and operations. Working with other operations support teams as well as our cloud tenants to maintain maximum stability, performance, and security for our Cloud environments which hosts both VNFs and application VMs. Supporting various Tier 3 partners with development, architecture, and project management to roll out technical enhancements, migrations, and expansion projects associated with Domain 2.0.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The candidate must have experience in working on circuits from T1 up to OC768. A solid background in digital/SONET facilities provisioning and troubleshooting is also required. The candidate must have extensive experience working on Cisco platforms including 6500, 7500, 12000, and CRS. Experience working with Juniper routers including M320, T640, MX960 and T1600 is also required.

Key Competencies and Skills:

The position requires an operations/networking background combined with creative and independent thinking. This includes the ability to analyze complex circuit/networking issues and routing problems, an extensive knowledge in network design and maintenance, and an overall understanding of the IP transport principles. Also required are strong understanding of all emerging technologies and network security policies and standards.

Education and Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors of Science in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent Nano Degree and relevant experience.

Senior level technical expertise. Deep technical knowledge and subject matter expert on ATT technologies.

Additional Information:

Master of the English language with the ability to effectively communicate with other technical professionals in English.
