Develop BSS system to implement a set of platforms in the integrated sales/order data capture and the workflow orchestration spaces, and configure to support ADI (AT&T Direct Internet), AVPN (AT&T VPN), IPFLEX/COLLABORATE(VOIP),SD-WAN/VNF, OOT services. Migrate other service and order types to this platform as per the various phases Platform Transformation Initiative roadmap.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Overall Purpose: Responsible for translating business needs into technical solutions, and defining solutions to problems through reasoned application of information technology. This position is for an experienced resource in AT&T's Technology Development organization. Candidate will be responsible for developing a high performance ordering and orchestration platform requirements that can serve order distribution/automation needs for online orders with high reliability. Candidate will play a key role in designing this platform working closely with other architects and developers from various teams within AT&T. Ideal candidate would have multiple years of experience working on BSS/ OSS and/or order automation systems using SOA principles. Experience with MicroServices and REST APIs required.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Designs, develops, documents and analyzes overall detailed requirements of systems. Determines integrated solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs. Coordinates design and integration of total system including subsystems. Researches and recommends solutions to improve the current systems. Has direct impact on creation of technical products/services.

Review AT&T’s requirements process and recommend leading practices to AT&T HALO program team. Review business requirements and Minimal Viable Product (“MVP”) document for readiness in user story development. Conduct quality and content peer reviews for user stories.
Help improve architectural standards for deliverables across AT&T teams. Document and maintain the interfaces/API design artifacts. Define data requirements, data standards and maintain an enterprise data model. Assist AT&T Enterprise Architects in creating a MVP to deliver core products
May, interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. May, lead teams across a number of complex systems to accomplish undefined tasks on a planned and adhoc basis. Work in cross functional teams thru design and development on an assigned features crossing multiple applications. Produce detailed user stories at a typically higher pace with far fewer issues as actually measured by testing and production issues within the realm of system and performance testing.

Integrates expert knowledge of technical principles/methods of multiple disciplines with knowledge of products/services and internal operations. Extensive experience in AGILE/SAFe Methodologies.

Education and Qualifications:

Should have a Masters in Computer Science/Engineering or related field with 5+ years professional software requirements and design experience with 3+ or more of the following technologies: 5+ years in Telecom BSS/OSS, NMS, or Services technical requirements development. Ability to work with minimal direction and/or supervision is required.

Candidates are needed with technical, analytic skills and expert knowledge of network facing OSS for Layer 1, Layer 2 and Layer 3 transport network & services. Provisioning & inventory of technologies such as Ethernet, IP/VPN and Domain 2.0 virtualized network. The candidate must be familiar with standard interface protocols such as web services/XML/Netconf/Big Data technologies used for communication among large telecommunications systems.

Candidate must have experience in requirements analysis, interacting with business clients, development and test resources. Responsible for crafting of requirements and management of requirements through review, approval. Familiarity and experience with Agile development processes required.

Deliverables include detailed epic/user stories, detailed technical functional design and application interface specifications.

Candidate will be the primary knowledge expert for management of scalable provisioning, inventory and activation systems.

Candidate should have M.S. or Ph.D. in a technical area preferably EE or CS

Recent professional experience in the design, development and implementation of telecommunications operations support systems(OSS) in one or more of the following areas including service order processing, provisioning, network monitoring and fault management, element management, network and services inventory, network creation, or service assurance.
