This Tier 3 position has responsibility for support of various activities related to service provisioning of AT&T’s ADI, PNT, GMIS, aVPN, eVPN, Ethernet, Cloud, SDWAN, Flexware and BVoIP IP Services worldwide. These activities include remediation of Logical Provisioning Platform LPP (ICORE/INSTAR) provisioning fall out, development and support of custom provisioning required when LPP doesn’t support a required feature, support of new technology insertion projects, infrastructure driven projects such as platform migrations, and support of new LPP (ICORE/INSTAR) releases. Examples of current projects reclaim IP V4 LAN/WAN addresses, Next Generation Cisco router migration.
As a Tier 3, you will be considered an expert level technical professional. Advisor on technical knowledge and AT&T technologies. In addition, you should have worked or be capable of working independently on projects of moderate complexity, managing technical issues.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Tier 3 position will require strong candidates who must be independent thinkers who will come up with ideas, not just be given ideas. This position will need to interact on a regular basis with many AT&T organizations including Technology Operations, Development, System Engineer, Provisioning Work Centers, Capacity Management, and various teams. As such, candidates must possess strong oral and written communications skills and be comfortable working with varied levels of technical and non-technical individuals. Candidate must be a strong team player and able to work in a high volume, fast paced environment. Additionally, due to the nature of this work, the candidate must be available 24/7 to address escalations off-hours driven by both AT&T’s global business and the requirement for impacting changes to take place off hours.
Candidates must possess strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to investigate and determine root cause for provisioning failures. Candidate must be experienced with INSTAR usage and have a background in IP address management and router configuration and troubleshooting. Candidate must also be able to consult on LPP (ICORE/INSTAR) system engineering and enhancements. Additionally, skills and experience with UNIX, Oracle, XML, SOAP, scripting languages, and associated tools and techniques for troubleshooting applications running on these platforms is required.

Key Competencies and Skills:

A minimum of eight years’ experience is required along with a bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, computer science, or other technical disciplines. Candidate must have expert or advanced level experience with the following:

• Understanding of Operating Systems
• Understanding of Design and Implementation
• Understanding of IP Protocols
• Understanding of Layer 2 and 3 Protocols
• Understanding of router configuration
• Expert SQL knowledge
• Expert UNIX knowledge
• Expert XML knowledge
• Expert SOAP knowledge
• Intermediate Network and some Cisco, Juniper knowledge
• Scripting knowledge
• Expertise in Oracle technologies and other relational and non-relational databases
• Strong troubleshooting skills

Education and Qualifications:

A minimum of eight years’ experience is required along with a bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, computer science, or other technical disciplines.
