This is an ideal position for an engineer, developer or subject matter expert in one of the operations environments (e.g. Service Assurance, Service Delivery, etc.) to come and work for us as a Sr. Tech Specialist, System Engineering, working directly with the Business, Solutions Architects and Developers to create and develop solutions across the entire AT&T footprint.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Solutions Engineers hired will work within an Agile development environment on various projects large and small. This position will require detailed communication and interaction with GD&A operations other organizations and will require excellent communication and technical documentation skills.

The Solutions Engineer acts as the technical lead/liaison between the business unit and DevOps development team and will work in conjunction with the lead architect to build solutions that solve the business needs of the BU.

• Perform requirements gathering through communication with the BU as well as DevOps teams, document those requirements, and create a high level design document to be used by the development team.
• Verify that technical solutions presented by the development team meet the user stories as required by the client.
• Actively drive and manage the technology evaluation stage with the BU and DevOps team.
• Work alongside the BU and other members of the DevOps team to provide our clients comprehensive technical guidance.
• Present and demonstrate DevOps tools to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Identify use cases not yet covered by our current platform, and submit them to the lead architect.
• Assist the PMs with rolling out new features or bug fixes.
• Proactively review designs of new platform features and functionality to test and determine if the change will impact live clients.

Key Competencies and Skills:

Minimum 8+ yrs relevant experience required

Candidate must have experience, preferably in a GD&A operations organization, understanding processes and tools used to conduct work. Candidate must be proficient at documenting technical requirements including software requirements and process flows.

• Ability to work in an Agile development environment

• Ability to summarize progress and articulate issues to the project team
• Ability to take ownership of specific tasks and follow the project team’s direction through to completion with minimal supervision
• Proficiency using web-based computer systems to locate technical information
• Working knowledge in one or more of the following Computer Languages and Scripting/Markup languages are a plus: Python and Python frameworks such as Django and React, XML/JSON, Apache, Linux, Javascript and Javascript libraries such as NodeJS, Ember, Angular and Bootstrap, MySql, Perl and Perl frameworks, such as mojolicious.
• Requires 3-4 years’ experience with existing AT&T products and services.

Education and Qualifications:

BS in Computer Science or relative technical training with work experience.

Work timing mandate-Overlap of US timings for a few hours is mandatory
