We are looking for a skilled and passionate candidate to join our Enterprise Vault team. This team works on large migration projects as well as monitors systems, responds to alarms and applies scheduled maintenance to the email archiving platform. If you are interested in messaging systems and already have few years of experience with Symantec/Veritas Enterprise Vault or similar archiving solution, then this role may be the right for you.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining the infrastructure of Veritas Enterprise Vault for Exchange (users and journal) and SharePoint archiving solution; providing Tier 3 customer support as well as maintenance
• Collaborate on migration projects and manage user data
• Perform software installations, patching and upgrades to applications and layered software packages
• Schedule changes/updates and maintain servers in accordance with established IT policies and procedures
• Monitor systems to achieve optimum performance and service levels
• Develop and promote standard operating procedures
• Conduct routine hardware and software audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies and configuration guidelines
• Respond to Tier 2 support escalations, using troubleshooting and break-fix skills to resolve issues efficiently
• Implement monthly roll up patches on applications as required
• Identify business process inefficiencies and work to improve and create opportunities for growth

Due to the needs of the business, the candidate selected for this role is expected to remain in this position for a minimum of:

2 years

Key Competencies and Skills:

• 2-5 years of experience with administering Windows Server 2008/2012 and server-based applications, roles and services
• 3+ years of experience with administering Symantec/Veritas Enterprise Vault (or similar email archiving solution), preferably both for Exchange email and SharePoint
• Understanding of Change Management life cycle principles
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and ideally also Enterprise Vault Discovery Accelerator
• Experience with and knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange including Outlook Web Access
• Basic SQL administration and query execution
• Knowledge of Enterprise Vault database schema and development skills sufficient to produce simple reports
• Nice to have: Symantec Administration for Enterprise Vault training (EV10, 11 or 12)
• Desire for self-development, ability to work as a team member
• Fluent English both verbally and in written form

Education and Qualifications:

University technical degree and Microsoft/Symantec/Veritas certifications an advantage, but not necessity as long as candidate can demonstrate strong technical skills

Oncall duty rotation
