Network Security Specialist to provide Network Security support to a large client from the transportation industry.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• This Firewall operations position requires a technical professional specializing in network security, firewalls and security technologies with an ability to provide L3 support to our clients' environments.
• Develops and maintains relationships with other stakeholders including team members, peers, managers, customers, vendors, and other affected departments to support efforts across multiple business units.
• This position requires high level of knowledge of Checkpoint Firewall software, Fortinet and Cisco firewall platforms, experience in troubleshooting layer 2 and 3 routing and switching issues, and an understanding of application protocols.
• Responsible for implementing part or all of the technical solution to the client, in accordance with an agreed technical design. Occasionally responsible for providing a detailed technical design for enterprise solutions. Understands a broad spectrum of HP technology in order to provide part or all of a detailed technical design which meets customer requirements.
• Provides technical support and input on the application of technology to a defined business segment. Provides advice on solution and integration opportunities to defined segments.
• Communicates across client community, and is viewed as adding value.
• Contributes to knowledge tools and communities, and ensures project learning’s are documented and shared. Role models;
• Has ability to perform/drive resolution of problems on combinations and interactions of products. Ability to apply technology and consulting to solve a client business problem.
• Able to communicate and present complex issues with assurance and confidence. Demonstrates the use of consulting skills including: questioning, listening, ideas development, permission and rapport, and influencing.
• Ability to conduct/lead oral status/technical interchange meetings with clients on small to medium sized engagements.
• Ability to work with a team to provide written responses to technical proposals and /or reports/documentation for delivery.

Key Competencies and Skills:

Required Skills:
• Fluent English
• Expert in configuring and troubleshooting IP routing/switching technologies and protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF
• Expert in configuring and troubleshooting L2 technologies and protocols, including STP, MST, LACP and EtherChannel
• Expert in configure and troubleshoot WLAN environment (Wireless Controllers, NACs, Cisco ISE, Microsoft NPS)
• Expert on UC (Unified Communication) with deep knowledge on Cisco Call Manager, Unity, Cisco TMS and Cisco CMS
• Proficient with tools to collect network statistic using protocols (SNMP, NetFlow, CACTI, OpenView)
• Ability to troubleshoot and analyze Security elements (Firewalls, Web Filters, Identity Servers, IPSs)
• Hands-on experience with enterprise networks Certification CCNP (Collaboration is a plus)
• 3-5 years of experience with networking and infrastructure/troubleshooting
• 3-5 years of experience working with enterprise customers delivering infrastructure projects/operations support
• Solid background in Network delivery infrastructure/Model
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• High commitment to business and personal integrity and professionalism.

Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in: Computing Sciences, Information System or related areas;
• Network Security Certifications from Cisco, Fortinet and CheckPoint.
