Sr Associate, HR Country Management

This position is responsible for multiple HR areas of work: service delivery in country, employee documentation, benefits administration, employee engagement, labor compliance, in-country and international HR projects. This will be the designated HR point of contact for employees in Gurugram, Delhi, Noida, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata and other remote/client locations in North India.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The following roles and responsibilities are required to be delivered:

A. HR Country Management local support for NCR and North India remote /client locations which covers multiple administrative and employee oriented areas of HR like:
- Compensation and Benefits structure, tax impact, processes and policies.
- AT&T India terms and conditions of employment, employment contract, country and state labor law and compliance.
- Benefits administration, including benefits policy, renewals, enrolment, delivery of benefits, handling employee queries about benefits, offboarding from benefits on exit. This includes leave and insurance administration.
- Employment and benefits related documentation, employee letters and certificates. Maintenance of hardcopy and softcopy files as per country law and RIM requirements. This includes updating and maintaining employee data on HRMS.
- Employee onboarding and exit management
- 1 on 1 ‘Stay Interviews’, ‘Skip Manager Meetings’, exit interviews and sharing feedback with appropriate persons for taking preventive and remedial action.
- Compliance with company policy and labor law to handle Employee grievance redressal, support investigations and disciplinary actions as required.
- Conducting HR awareness sessions for employees and managers, responding to queries. This includes advising overseas managers on country specific and international policies, processes and benefits.
- Participating in country specific projects and programs.
- Supporting compliance vendor with required data and documentation for Labor Law Compliance activities in country.
- Collaborate with HR Payroll Interface, Payroll Team and payroll vendor in processing payroll for India employees, assist with payroll inputs and employee queries regarding payroll.

B. Specified HR Country Management responsibilities at country level. Oversee any of the following HR Country Management tasks for the whole country across multiple locations, as assigned, with minimal need for supervision:

C. Participation as member of country and International HR projects driving policy and process enhancements.

Key Competencies and Skills:

Specific Requirements of the Job: Mandatory
- Strong HR Generalist knowledge across wide variety of HR roles and responsibilities.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant HR experience.
- Excellent communication skills in English: spoken, written and presentation.
- Excellent proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
- Ability to understand, explain and interpret policies and laws.
- Unimpeachable integrity, very high ethical standards, people skills and team orientation.
- Good understanding of HR policies and processes
- Proficiency in basic HR tools, analytical ability and presentation skills.
- Good knowledge of country market practices, policies, processes and compliance requirements.

The following skills would be a plus for this position (not mandatory but preferred):
- Exposure to HR automation, HR data analytics or HR data management tools
- Good awareness of labor law and compliance or experience supporting labor compliance.
- Experience of undergoing and supporting stringent Compliance Inspections by Labor Department, clients or auditors.
- Proficiency in Data Science: R, Hadoop, Python, SQL
- Participation in Great Places to Work Employers Survey in a company which ranked in India
- Participation in HR automation projects either as HR interface with the tech team or as part of the tech team.
- Change-oriented, mindset of improving tools, processes and policies.
- Conflict management skills and ability to deal with difficult customers.
- Variety in HR experience: experience of working in an international and Indian HR environment, experience in IT and non-IT companies, IR & HR exposure, consulting company experience or Sales / Marketing.
- Experience of leading small team is a plus.
- Experience as a user of an HR Database application like Peoplesoft for managing data and producing reports.
- Experience in international HR projects
- Project management experience / training.
- Proficiency in statistics
- Proficiency in using social media; actual user and able to reverse mentor senior managers in exploitation of social media.
- Proficiency in Prezi, Visio, Outlook, Advanced Excel
- Marketing / communications related experience

Education and Qualifications:

1. Graduate: degree in Management, HR, Computer Science, Law, Psychology or a combination of these.
2. First class academic record (10th, Inter, graduation).
3. PG Certifications in program management, behavior sciences, HR Information Systems, statistics or analytics would be a plus.

Additional Information:

- This position will be based at Gurugram. May occasionally be required to travel to Delhi or Noida.
- Telecommuting / work from home is not an option.
- Working hours will be regular India time (not rotational shifts)
