Windows Administrator - Tier 3 Server Engineer

Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements. May also be responsible for software installations and 24/7 production support.
Roles and responsibilities:
Knowledge - Subject matter expert within own discipline/specialty area and basic knowledge of other disciplines / specialty areas. Deep technical knowledge. Applies in-depth knowledge of discipline/specialty area standards and processes to work. Integrates industry experience and deep professional/ technical knowledge. Technical leader and recognized expert on select AT&T technologies, systems and/or procedures.

Analysis and Problem Solving -Solves unique problems through evaluative judgment and precedent. Independently applies sophisticated analysis in evaluating issues and develops new concepts, methods and techniques for cross-functional initiatives. Recognizes and pursues alternative methods.

Independence - Guided by department goals and objectives. Exercises latitude in determining objectives and approaches to projects. Leads multiple projects of small to medium size and technical breadth.

Contribution to AT&T Technology -Key contributor on complex projects and initiatives. Impacts current and future business opportunities through application of specialized technical and industry knowledge. Develops methods and techniques based on strategic project objectives.

Strong Knowledge of Windows 2003, 2008, 2012 & 2016 Server and trouble shooting skills.

Due to the needs of the business, the candidate selected for this role is expected to remain in this position for a minimum of:

Key Competencies and Skills:

• Proficient in Administration and maintaining the Microsoft Windows systems and services, internal and external, physical and virtual systems.
• In-Depth knowledge on Windows Core Services, AD, DNS, DHCP, File(NFS, DFS), IIS, KMS & CA.
• Strong Knowledge of Windows 2003, 2008, 2012 & 2016 Server and trouble shooting skills.
• Should have good knowledge & troubleshooting skills on MS Clusters, Windows Load Balancing.
• Knowledge in Windows Security & Vurnerabilities.
• Good Exposure to Group Policies testing and troubleshooting.
• Good Exposure on Citrix Application Support.
• Performs patch management, software deployments, and network operations for the systems and services within assigned area of responsibility.
• Conducts regular system maintenance to include monitoring, tuning, capacity planning, and adjusting configurations as necessary to resolve problems & minimize downtime.
• Performing upgrades, maintaining access controls, installing operating systems and application software, troubleshooting system problems, and following proper commissioning & decommissioning Process & Procedures for the systems.
• Designs and builds reliable disaster recovery and backup systems.
• Participates in developing testing and integration plans for new systems and software in order to ensure compatibility with current network IT infrastructure.
• Assists in maintaining technical documentation libraries, to include the development and publication of standard operating procedures for systems and processes under their control.
• Should be open for 24*7 environment.
• Experience on Citix support will be advantage.

Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical field
10 years experience
