Develops and maintains AT&T compensation and benefits policies and practices in support of international operations in different countries in the Canada/Latin America region. Maintains a working knowledge of country laws and practices, which may affect policy development. Countries: Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Chile & Andinos Region

Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsible for aligning benefit plans to country strategies and maximizing the value received for plan expenditures. Responsible for analyzing and ensuring plan design supports country strategy, and provide effective consulting support to the respective HR Country Management teams. Participates in compensation and/or benefits surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary/benefits information to determine company’s competitive position. Performs cost/benefit analysis of various benefit design alternatives. Develops proposals, and other recommendations. Conducts benefits strategic planning activities in selecting and managing external consultants to ensure that plans within their area of expertise comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Analyzes and develops policies and benefit plans covering accident and health insurance coverage, international allowances, retirement and pension plans, income continuance. Analyzes equity of current benefits compared to trends and legislated requirements. Acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the region. Responsible for the efficient and effective administration and delivery of health, retirement, welfare or other benefit policies and plans to employees, and their beneficiaries. Selects and manages vendors where outsourcing provides a cost and/or service advantage. Vendor management includes performance negotiations and contract provisions, operations and service delivery issues, and continuous improvement program provisions. Provide training or mentoring to less experienced staff, and may provide feedback for the evaluation of new staff.

Pension Knowledge

Education and Qualifications:

University degree in Human Resources, Business or Equivalent, and 8+ years of related professional and analytical experience.

Additional Information:

Bilingual Communication (English, Spanish, Portuguese a plus)
Benefits Certification a plus
Excellent understanding of Latin America region
