Focuses on revenue growth of a particular product line or set of product lines (consisting of Data/IP, and possibly Voice) for an assigned set of account(s) (e.g., a portfolio) or an assigned territory. Reports to a sales center (defined territorial space or set of named accounts) within a direct sales organization. Owns personal quota and retires quota through personal selling. Develops customer relationships, at appropriate levels, to anticipate and mitigate client concerns/roadblocks to closing sales. Acts proactively and reactively to selling opportunities. May support the Strategic Account or Account Manager roles, either from a dedicated or virtual perspective. May own accounts not assigned to the Strategic Account or Account Manager roles.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Supports account teams by providing technical expertise and guidance in area of expertise (Voice / Local / Data / IP) in the planning and closing of sales opportunities. Delivers, manages, and consults on generic network services solutions based upon specific customer needs as identified in the account planning process. Responsibilities include network configuration and design, proposal development and presentation, application and industry support, project management, implementation and technical assurance.
