Expert level technical professional. Advisor on technical knowledge and AT&T technologies. Applies user experience, software development, design, engineering, and architecture experience to create high-value technical solutions and products for the Internet of Things.
• Identifies technical requirements from business requirements.
• Defines options to realize the technical requirements across customers’ systems, 3rd party systems and AT&T’s Network and IT.
• Creates overall architecture capturing impacts across AT&T and interfacing systems.
• Works directly with peers from within AT&T, customers, vendors and MNO partners to develop products and define and implement end-to-end technical solutions, while advocating for AT&T’s strategic interests.
• Works with Finance to understand budgets and growth expectations and aligns those with strategies and implementation plans
• Researches and recommends technology to improve the current systems.
• Ensures products and services are aligned with customers current and future needs and expectations.
• Champions the execution of decisions based on the company’s mission and values.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Proficient in specifying and evaluating architecture requirements for Statements of Work, RFXs, etc
• Creates end-to-end test cases
• Designs and implements network connectivity between AT&T IoT platforms and those of customers, partners and vendors. Manages the validation this connectivity in AT&T lab and production environments.

Key Competencies and Skills:

• Minimum of 5+ years of work experience in wireless communications industry
• In-depth experience in wireless service and architecture design in global IoT space
• Extensive knowledge/experience on wireless technology (GSM, 3G, LTE, IMS, etc.), network and devices, transport, VPN, IT, billing systems.
• Hands-on experience with network and device test equipment, excellent troubleshooting skills
• In-depth knowledge in AT&T wireline services/products (AVPN, etc.)
• Confident and comfortable with customer, peer, and leadership interaction with excellent communication skills, excellent inter-personal skills
• Highly motivated self-starter, willing to take ownership and drive for deliverables

Education and Qualifications:

BS (or international equivalent) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Business Analytics. Developer nanodegree; or equivalent experience. MS preferred.

Typically requires 8-10 years experience.

• Candidate must have 5+ years wireless experience
• Candidate must have 3+ years delivering network and IT technology supporting product
• Candidate must have experience leading teams of technical architects across teams to drive end-to-end solutions
• Candidate must have experience with API platforms, integrating and delivering new APIs.
• Candidate must have experience with Web services like SOAP and REST, including design of API interface specifications
